I am participating with Team BMC in the Rodman Ride for Kids to help raise critical funds for Boston Medical Center’s pediatrics programs and services. While this year’s race will look a little different because it is taking place virtually, Team BMC’s mission to support BMC’s youngest and most vulnerable patients has not changed.

BMC nurtures its pediatrics patients back to health by caring for them as a whole. Whether it be addressing food insecurity, unstable housing or limited access to essential necessities such as transportation and clothing, BMC complements its world-class care with programs that address social determinants of health. That’s because BMC is not just focused on achieving health—it aims to sustain health and change the trajectory of its patients’ lives. This care approach would not be possible without supporters like you, since many of these critical programs and services heavily rely on philanthropy.

This year, BMC’s pediatric patients and families face a whole new set of challenges stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and they are relying on the hospital in a multitude of ways to navigate them through these difficult times. From innovative new initiatives to the pediatric programs and services that make up the bedrock of its care, BMC is rising to the challenge by alleviating burdens and barriers to good health.

Your generosity makes it possible for BMC to provide life-changing opportunities for so many children and young adults. Thank you for your consideration in supporting this very important cause!
