I've been working for the Asperger/Autism Network (AANE) for the last few years, and I've become passionate about my work here, as my life, and my family's life, have been directly touched by Asperger's. AANE is a non profit organization that works with individuals, families, and professionals to help people with Asperger Syndrome and similar autism spectrum profiles build meaningful, connected lives. Throughout the years, I have never come across any organization, whether in Massachusetts or nationally, that provides tools, resources, and support specifically tailored to Asperger's profile. This makes AANE a very unique non-profit, and our ability to help families is directly linked to our ability to raise funding.
The staff at AANE is as passionate as they come, and their level of professionalism and commitment to our communities is an every-day inspiration. I feel lucky to share my days with such a wonderful group of co-workers.
I am riding 50 miles in the Rodman Ride for Kids because I believe every opportunity we have to raise funds for AANE is an opportunity to help the Asperger's profile community. This community of people has incredible strengths and brings so much to all of us, yet have limited options to obtain specialized services, and no other non-profit but AANE is specifically dedicated to the Asperger's profile. Help us boost AANE with your donation! Every penny counts!
