Impacting Kids One Mile at a Time

Why we need your help

Youth mental health has deteriorated nationwide, and this crisis is disproportionately affecting under-resourced youth. In May 2023, the Surgeon General declared loneliness, isolation, and lack of connection a new public health epidemic in the United States.

ThinkGive promotes emotional well-being in K-8 youth. Our social and emotional learning (SEL) programs empower youth to take actions that positively impact themselves and others; building character, confidence and connection. Students overwhelmingly report strong increases in feelings of connection, belonging, self-esteem, and empowerment.

One of our top strategic priorities is to expand the reach of our programming so that every student can access the SEL needed to develop their whole selves and promote emotional well-being. In the 2023–2024 school year, our SEL for Every Child Fund brought ThinkGive to 2,300 under-resourced youth at 42 schools and organizations who otherwise often don’t have access to programs like ours. Our goal in 2024-2025 is to engage 2,800 under-resourced youth at 52 sites.
