We may ride alone. We may ride together. We may ride virtually. But no matter what... we will ride!
You don't have to get on a bike to make a difference. Walk, run, ride, whatever you do just start now!
Through a combination of after-school, weekend, and summer camp programs Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South serves nearly 2,500 boys and girls ages 4 to 18 annually at our Brockton and Taunton Clubhouses, Camp Riverside, and at several extension sites throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South is fueled by a mission "to nurture strong minds, healthy bodies and community spirit through youth-driven, high-impact programming in safe and fun environments" to ensure that every child has a positive place to spend their out-of-school-time hours.
We hold an intrinsic belief that every child deserves an equal chance to pursue the American Dream, to have a genuine opportunity to realize their full potential – to achieve a Great Future.
We are guided by our vision to ensure the greatest possible impact of our programs on the long-term positive trajectories of our members’ lives.
Our Brockton and Taunton Clubhouses are each located in areas with CDI (Community Disadvantage Index) ratings of 10 out of a maximum of 10.
Our Clubs work with many children who are raised in cycles of poverty and who see violence within their home or neighborhood and see that as normal. Our Clubs play a crucial role in intercepting these generational cycles by inspiring our boys and girls, raising expectations, and providing them with opportunities for educational support to ensure that they can succeed, regardless of their life circumstances.
Families in our region too often face the difficult task of having to cut ‘extras’ from their budget, which can include after-school programs and enrichment activities for their children.Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South provides an affordable, accessible, safe, and enriching place where boys and girls can just be kids without worrying about the dangers their streets sometimes engender.
Critically, Club memberships cost just $35 per year and no child is ever turned away due to inability to pay.
