I am riding to support Boston Community Pediatrics and the Rodman Ride for Kids because I believe every child in our community should have the opportunity to have access to the same pediatric care that I want and expect for my own children. I am riding 50 miles, which I have never done before, to show my support for BCP and all of the incredible patients we have the privilege of caring for!

Most of our patients at BCP have MassHealth, which provides about half the financial reimbursement compared to private health insurance for the exact same service, and therefore BCP cannot operate based on medical visit reimbursements alone. As a result, your gift will help support truly equitable pediatric services at BCP!

WE ARE CREATING A MOVEMENT TO CHANGE THE WAY HEALTHCARE IS DELIVERED TO ALL CHILDREN. PLEASE SUPPORT BCP AND JOIN OUR MOVEMENT!

BCP is the first nonprofit, pediatric private practice in New England, and one of the first in the country. It brings excellent, holistic primary care to pediatric patients, including truly integrated mental health services, care navigation and pediatric wellness support and resources all under one roof. We opened on November 16th, in the middle of the pandemic and have hit the ground running. In addition to in-person services, we also provide telehealth visits, and also communicate with patients via text and email. In addition, we are helping families with the social determinants that affect their health such as food insecurity, hygiene insecurity, housing insecurity, domestic violence, lack of childcare, lack of transportation, and more. Lastly, we have an after school wellness program which includes dance and karate classes, cooking class, tutoring services and we have recently started a Girls on the Run program. The work is never-ending but incredibly inspiring.

BCP is a new model of health care that truly addresses the current racial inequities in pediatric health care. BCP brings high quality, comprehensive and personalized care that is centered around the patient to those who need it most, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance coverage.

Since 1991, the Rodman Ride for Kids has raised over $143 million to support at-risk youth. With your support, we will impact the lives of thousands more young people this year.
